"When my dog got sick, I spent days and days at the veterinary office. There I saw many abandoned animals brought by volunteers. My heart was tearing into pieces. My dog did not survive, but I am sure that she, my Betty, wanted me to start rescuing and helping the abandoned, when there was no way out for her. I am sure that or the six years that I have been involved in rescue, she has been cheering me on from heaven and watching over me. Without the help of state institutions, only with the help of friends and animal lovers, around 80 paws were rescued and happily adopted. One of the most difficult things in Serbia is to be a volunteer!"
